Application of photoelectric sensor in PCB inspection
Release time: 2019-11-19
Detects objects of different colors and different materials at the same time in a close distance
PCB is a printed circuit board, also known as a printed wiring board, which is a provider of electrical connections for electronic components. Almost every common electronic device in our lives, such as electronic watches, calculators, computers, electronic communications, etc., requires PCBs. In the PCB production process, in order to ensure the quality of the PCB, it needs to be tested variously. With the improvement of science and technology, the automatic detection of the machine has been realized, and the sensor is the eye of the machine.
When testing PCBs, many equipment manufacturers are struggling to find stable sensors. The reason is that depending on the material and color of the detection object, the ability to reflect light will also be different. For example, light-colored objects are significantly easier to detect than dark-colored objects, and reflective and smooth objects are more easily detected than matte surfaces. Common diffuse reflection photoelectric switches have a blind area of about 5mm. In this area, objects cannot be detected stably, and dark and matte objects are more difficult to detect. It is really an industry problem to detect objects of different colors and different materials at the same time in a close distance.
In view of the needs of the industry and technological development, DASS Sensor Technology Co.,Ltd has independently developed a zero blind area diffuse reflection photoelectric sensor. It has a significantly better detection effect on objects of different colors and materials than ordinary ones. When the detected object is close to the sensor detection surface, it can be detected stably. Receives and responds to faint reflections at close range, enabling even dark objects and matte objects to be detected. DASS sensor - your right choice.
We’ve succeeded in lowering costs through in-house development of the chip-on-board Opto-ASIC, in which both a switching circuit and light receiving element have been integrated.
Equipped with a newly developed 4 element red LED light source. In addition to minimizing the decreases in emitted light that occur over time, it features a through-beam type sensor with a longest-in-class 25 m sensing distance! Not only is detection over long distances possible, but it is also tolerant against dust and fine particles.
